During my career as a drummer and working with different styles, I’ve realized of the importance that has to know the origin of any musical style to achieve better performance. Folklore is one of them and is the inspiration I had in mind to write this method.

At beginning of my career, when I face the first recordings of folklore I could tell that much of the technical, theoretical and the concept of pulse, learned at the University was left behind and I had become a drummer that could not keep a pulse, however I watched like other musicians dedicated 100% to folklore achieve what I call with all respect “Latin American Swing”
